About Bryan

I am enthusiastic about learning, and guiding others on their path of learning. My early focus was on Secondary Social Studies Education (with plans to be a High School Social Studies Teacher), but my time working in public schools let me to explore the use of Technology in Education. This led to a focus on student-centered methods of instruction (such as Problem-based learning), and how technology (and specifically, the movement towards mobile learning) can support these approaches to education.

I am currently using the skills gained as an instructional designer and educator by creating educational opportunities and training in the utilities sector.

In my spare time, I can be found on my blue scooter, driving around the hills of Oakland, Berkeley, and the Bay Area.

Bryan at Play

Sometimes I like to have fun away from work

Many of my friends would describe me as a "Jack of Many Trades," and they wouldn't be far from the truth. I am an enthusiastic student, looking to learn as much as I can in this world. I've learned the basics of being a mechanic (and have learned to maintain and repair my own scooter and vehicle), played with Arduino boards and Raspberry Pi's, and recently taken up the Hammered Dulcimer. But it doesn't stop there, and I am eagerly searching for my next learning adventure (while still keeping up with things I've already learned)!
